Why waste money buying a salt shaker when you can make one!

Step one: Collect two yoghurt containers to make the body of the salt shaker.

Step two: After collecting two yoghurt containers, stack

one on top of the another yoghurt container upside down.

Step three: Then cut out circle in a bit of cardboard and stick it on the top of the yoghurt container to make the lid.

Step six: Use a glue gun to glue two yoghurt containers with facing each other.

Step seven: Poke two small holes and a big hole in the lid with a pin.

Step eight: Make a big hole at the bottom of your salt shaker so you can fill it with salt.

Step nine: You are now ready to put the salt in.

We are learning to design and construct our own salt shaker.

Come on mum, let's go to Whangamata!

In the holidays I went to Whangamata with my brother and mum. I didn't know til the day I got home from my sleepover at my cousin’s house, Oli. There was no internet at Whangamata so I wasn't able to Skype Oli or talk to him unless I could find a phone so I desperately tried to find a solution but nothing could fix the big problem except my mum’s new phone. An IPhone 6. The newest phone that Apple had created.

First I had to pack the day after I got back from Oli’s house which was the day I left for Whangamata. I was still chatting on Skype and playing Minecraft Hunger Games on a server called Desiredcraft. When my mum called me to pack I made sure I had my togs because there was a lovely beach down at Whangamata. It had a lot of trees on it and you can walk to it when the tide is low because there is a footpath that gets covered by the water when it is high tide. I had to also make sure I had my onesie just incase I get cold so I could snuggle up next to my family and do the puzzle we brought.

When I finished packing I played more Minecraft with Oli while skyping him. He had to go out to breakfast with his parents. He deserved it after handling the things we did at the sleepover like when I got sick and he looked after me or when we played outside and there were termites on the tree’s wood and he got scared so he made an epic jump to the grass and ran to the other tree. So when Oli went out, I had to go on the trip so I brought the IPad thinking that I could get data so I can go on the apps that needed internet especially Skype.

When we got to Whangamata which is two hours away from our province, we decided to relax. We did the puzzle and watched television. We did a Wasjig puzzle where the picture on the box isn't the picture on the puzzle when all the pieces are on. On the puzzle was what they were looking at. We were tired from the puzzle so we went to bed. When we woke up the next morning we went into town for breakfast. We had eggs on toast and it tasted good. I wondered if that was what eggs cooked to perfection tasted like. We had our yummy breakfast and then we went to the beach.

We walked along Whangamata’s amazing beach. it was so long both ways of the beach. We took so many photos and even taught our mum new camera tricks. Like the slow-mo camera we made cool slow-mo videos of us jumping off the seats. We had so much fun, but one day the fun will end and it did for me because we were only there for 3 days and we had to leave the night after. We left and left with happiness so we loved it.

I felt happy because we got to have a fun time in Whangamata. Next time I will bring more fun activities so we have more fun.

Oli, want to Skype and play roblox?

In the weekend I skyped my cousin Oli. Oli loves soccer so we always play Fifa 16 (Federation internationale de football association) 16. We also play FUTWIZ which is a squad builder/pack opener simulator and tells the latest news about Fifa games/gamers. First we went on FUTWIZ and opened the brand new Fifa 16 packs. I got the two best players in Fifa 16. I got In-form Cristiano Ronaldo in one pack and Lionel Messi in another.

We made amazing squads with good chemistry. If the chemistry is 100 then the players will play well together. One of my packs went on the FUTWIZ leaderboards. I was 26th place out of millions of FUTWIZ users. In my pack I had in-form Cristiano Ronaldo (94 rated) and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (89 rated) in the same pack. We had fun on FUTWIZ but got bored so we played on roblox because we both have accounts. Oli and my favourite game is Roblox’s top model.

We like it because we dress up in really funny clothes like monster cape and mask or cool glasses. There is a shop and you can buy inventory like Ipads and flowers. You can also get sparkles which surround you and you look cool wearing it. You need 10 wins to get one colour of sparkles. We always lost so we decided to watch videos on youtube. While I was watching youtube Oli decided to put his computer outside so that he could play with his soccer ball. Oli was still playing so I went downstairs to play Fifa 16 demo and make a F.U.T (Fifa ultimate team) draft. I had Ronaldo and Neymar in the same team and did amazing long shots. Oli had to have dinner so I went hanged up and waited for him to call me back. I watched more and more youtube. It was so boring that by the time Oli called back he had to go to bed.

I went to bed as well and waited for my parents to wake up at 11:00 pm to watch Samoa play United States in the Rugby World Cup 2015. When my parents woke me up I took my blanket from my bed because I was cold and my mum and dad took the other blankets on the couch. Samoa beat the United States by 9 points. The score was 25 to 16. I was to tired to wake up for the All blacks game so I decided to watch the replay in the morning.

I felt happy because I got to spend time with Oli and watch Samoa beat United States live. Next time I will try and stay awake for other games and use my time with Oli very wisely.

Hi Oli, want to have a sleepover at my house?

On the weekend , my cousin came over for a sleepover. I hadn't had a sleepover in 4 weeks with anyone. I knew I was going to have a fun time.

First we had to pick up Oli (cousin) from his house. When we got there, there were a lot of branches because they were cleaning up their garden (making it look amazing). When we were there it didn't look amazing, because they were in the middle of cleaning it. My auntie's mum was helping the. think we need her the next time we clean up our garden.

We picked up Oli and went back to my house to have a memorable time. When we arrived back at my house we played on the P.C (computer). We played roblox because we have been playing with each other over the past week online. Roblox is an online website with games made by other people with roblox accounts. We played Speed run 4. Speed run 4 is a game with a number of different levels. our goal in the game is to pass all the levels and when you do, you get a badge. You collect badges from different roblox games.

When Oli and I kept on losing, because it was too hard. Soon after that were off to church. My brother and I served while Oli sat with my sister and my dad. My brother,Oli and I drank the wine and ate the bread. The wine had a a strong taste and the bread tasted like an ice cream cone.

Church was fun and the game that we played after was too glorious to speak of. It was the newest demo released on P.S.N (Play Station Network). It was F.I.F.A (Federation internationale de football association) 16. You can pre order the game on PS3, PS4 (Play Station 3 and 4) or Xbox 360 and Xbox One. We made a FUT (Fifa ultimate team) draft which is where you pick a player on the screen and make a full team and play as them against other teams. We made so many teams!

We had the best time ever and I wanted for the sleepover to be everyday. I really liked having fun with Oli. I hope we can have another sleepover next week.

Isaac, want to play kicks like Dan Carter?

In the weekend I went to my teammate’s house from rugby team Marist. His name is Isaac. Isaac is second five for our rugby team. When I got to his house I saw him with his dog. His dog’s name is Jacks. Jacks is a big dog, but he is very nice. Isaac also has a cat named Molly. Molly is a nice cat too. Isaac has a backyard with rugby posts and a little playground for his little brother Noah. He has a laptop which is very old because he had it ever since he was little.

After he showed me around we went into his room to put my bag away. Then we went into his little brother’s room.(Noah) Noah has drums. How cool is that!!  Isaac taught me how to play drums. Now I knew how to play drums. I couldn’t wait to show my family the drumming skills I had learnt from my friend. I was bouncing off the walls!  I finally knew how to play an instrument.  Some moments later, we decided to go outside and kick the balls and we were going to make a Youtube video afterwards. We were going to perform a crossbar challenge. Noah ran into the video, but we forgave him because he’s only five years old.

Then we  saw a trampoline so we went on it and I showed Isaac how to backflip and he showed me how to sideflip. I taught him something and he taught me something in return too. We were flipping for a long time. He even had a basketball hoop on the top of the net of the trampoline. We dunked the ball a lot but mostly flipped.  

Eventually, we got bored so we went back inside and played on Isaac’s tablet. I played Geometry Dash. I kept restarting the level because I hit the sharp triangles. Isaac was skyping his friends and introduced me to them. He told them my name and I said, “Hi.” They responded with “Hi “ back and then we went back to Noah's awesome room and played Wii. Wii is a console and has some really cool games. Isaac went first on the Wii and decided to play Mario Kart. He was Waluigi and rode in a car on map called Mushroom Gorge. He came seventh. While Isaac played Wii I played on the drums again. I was rocking the drums. I played a lot of cool beats. I was having a blast!

After that the All blacks were on television for their match against Australia for the Bledisloe Cup. It was Richie McCaw (Captain) and Daniel Carter’s (Kicker) last game in New Zealand. Richie is retiring after the World Cup this year and Daniel is going to France and is playing rugby for Racing Metro, a team in a competition called Top 14. It was kick off and the All blacks kicked Australia caught it and ran. It was an even match because the last time the All blacks played Australia, Australia beat them. But in most years, New Zealand has stood victorious against Australia. Anything good or bad could have happened throughout the whole game and something did. The All Blacks were all over Australia like a tidal wave. It was amazing! The All Blacks won 41 to 13 and we were so happy because that was the last game for New Zealand and Australia before the world cup.

I feel happy because I got to have fun with Isaac and got to see the All Blacks win their last game before the world cup. Next time I will try to do something we will both remember. I really liked having fun with Isaac.

Cameron, want to play Borderlands 2?

In the weekend I had a sleepover with my school and rugby friend Cameron. Cameron and I are in the same class. He was only going to sleepover for one night, so we had to make the most of it.

First we picked Cameroon up from his house. I looked at his house and said to my mum, “What a cool house!” We went to his front door to get Cameron and Cameron had his things that he needed for the sleepover. He brought extra snacks for the sleepover. He brought two big bags of popcorn and cake. I was shocked and couldn’t wait to eat it. We didn’t go straight back to my house after we picked up Cameron. Instead we went to my sisters netball game. She plays for Cockle Bay. By the time we got there she had already finished playing the game so we picked her up and went back home.

After a wonderful drive back. Cameron put his items in my room. Cameron had all his things in a Lakers backpack. But he had the snacks in plastic bags and he put the food on the bench in the kitchen. Then Cameron and I rushed downstairs to see what we could play because I have a Playstation 3. We both decided to play Borderlands 2. Borderlands 2 is a gun game. We had snipers and all sorts of guns. I was a commando and Cameron was a ninja. We started a new game because had already played that game.

In the game there were all kinds of creatures and bad guys. There were weird spiders but they weren't that hard to kill. Whenever one of us died we come back to life at a spawn. O died the most when we played the game. I decided to play another game. Cameron and I were both bored. We found a game.(Hooray) It was Little Big Planet Karting. I wanted to win against Cameron but he kept winning because the of the other players in the race. I would come first but then I get blown up and Cameron overtakes me. He beat me seven times in a row. He is really hard. It must of been that whole bag of popcorn he ate. I ate some but he ate heaps.

After playing Playstation we went upstairs to have dinner. We had steak. Cameron didn’t eat much because of the popcorn but his tummy was getting hungry by the minute. By the time he was really hungry we had dessert. We had the chocolate cake that Cameron bought with the ice cream we had in the fridge. Cameron loved dessert and so did I. We had a good night sleep after having dessert. We had so much fun during the sleepover and Cameron and I both hope we can do that again another time.

The port of Auckland wants to make a memorial for the Rainbow Warrior bombing. The Rainbow Warrior ship belonged to Greenpeace. It supported whaling and seal hunting. The French Intelligence bombed the Rainbow Warrior in the Auckland Harbour on the 10th of July 1985.

I'm warning you, I have a fake lazer gun!

During the holidays I went to Mega Zone with my cousins from New York. Their names are Joshua, Tristan and Jasmine. My brother and sister came with us too.

First we had to team with someone. I was partnered up with Tristan. My brother with Joshua. My sister pared up with Jasmine. I was in the green team. Joshua was in the red team and Jasmine was in the yellow team. There was a blue team had a little boy and an adult to play against our teams.

We put on our vests and got our guns and went into the arena. We had to hide. Where we hid was our base. We had our own base station which was a square machine. It was green because that was our colour. Only the other team could shoot it because it wasn't theirs. There were also bonus points which we could shoot anytime.

Time passed by and we started the game. We shot the teams but the hardest team there was the red team. (My brother and Joshua's team) Luckily we crashed their party by shooting both of them and shooting their base station down. The yellow team shot us from behind so we chased them down  like a greyhound but they kept running away so we went for the blue team instead. We shot them but they stood victorious in the end. They won!
