The best shared lunch ever!

Yesterday, Room 6 had shared lunch because we have been working hard this term and we have done so well.
We felt very proud of ourselves!

We all brought different kinds of food and all of them looked delicious. Greshka and Kevin were the first people to pick their food because they had finished all their work. After they picked their food, they chose other people to go and get theirs.

The table was full of yummy food such as pancakes, pizza, popcorn, Filipino bread, apple pie and sushi. It was really hard to decide the food that I was going to pick first.

I ate a lot of food, so much so that I couldn’t eat dinner.
This was the best shared lunch ever!

The greatest Duffy hero I have ever seen!

Yesterday, Saint Patrick’s school had Duffy assembly and the Duffy hero’s name was Tony Williams.

Tony has written over one hundred books, some have been published and some have just been written for practise. One of the books that he has written is called ‘Rugby Skills Tactics and Rules’.

Some students were given a chance to ask Tony questions about his life as a writer and I was one of them. My question was, “What was the first book that you have ever written?” His reply was that it was a book about a boy from space. We finished off with a Duffy song called ‘Read about it’.

Duffy assembly was cool, really cool!!!

Do I hear something?

Why do we hear sounds?
Sound is made from vibrations in the air.

Sound waves are in the air and  our ears can the sounds from a distance if they are really  loud from a distance. When the ear hears the sound, they pass a message to the brain which makes you act. Sound waves cause the eardrums to vibrate.

The brain makes sense of the nerve messages and helps us recognise the sounds. The anvil, hammer and stirrup wobble and move the liquid inside the ear.
Sound waves are collected by the outer ear.

We need ears so that we can get important information. We need our ears to hear so that we can act appropriately in situations.
Ears are important because they help us to listen and learn from the world around us.

Do you want to know what cars can really do?

A car is a way to transport to people places that they wish to go to.Cars are vehicles. They come in different colours like red, blue, yellow and green. They also come in different models like Ferrari, Lamborghini and all the ather models.

Cars have four wheels. Cars have different colours like red, blue, green, purple and  yellow. Every car has a number plate. Cars have tires.

Cars need petrol to run on. People move from left to right with a steering wheel. In the cars they have brakes to stop the car from moving.
