My fun holiday!

       My Fun Holiday
On our way to Rotorua, we stopped over at Tauranga to take a break. We stayed at a motel called Fountain Court. I went with my auntie, cousin, popa, grandma, mum, dad and brother. After a good night sleep, we drove to Rotorua the next day.

When we got to Rotorua, we went straight to Rainbow Spring to look at the animals and ride the Big Splash. We could see the kiwi at night. We also saw the tuatara and lizard. After Rainbow Spring, we went to the Luge. I went up the Luge with my cousin and brother.

When we finished riding the Luge, we checked into another motel. It looked like a first class motel with a mineral pool and a normal heated pool. We had lunch and jumped straight into the pool. When it got a bit cold we went into the mineral pool to cool off. After playing in the pool for a bit we dried off, watched T.V and ate fish’n’chips for dinner. We went to bed after dinner and had a great night sleep.

When we woke up, we had breakfast and got in the car and went to the Lady Knox Geyser. A man told us the history of the Geyser. There were lots of people there. After the Geyser, we went back home to get ready for Christmas.

On Christmas day I ran straight to the Santa sacks. I got some lego, clothes and a basketball hoop. It is really big. Then we got ready for the big family Christmas party. When we got there, we had lunch and we had a yummy ham. After lunch we opened our presents. I got some chocolate, games and toys from the Christmas party.

That was the best holiday I have ever had. It was so enjoyable that I would like a time machine to take me back in time so that I can experience the love and joyous time again.

Learning intention: We are learning to use the structure of a recount correctly.
Success criteria: I know I can do this when I write my orientation, followed by the body and then the conclusion.
